During the design phase, SW/HW may lead unknown leakage that up to mA level in sleep mode. Would MAX16141 be damaged as the part only can source up to 400µA per datasheet?

During SLEEP mode the internal PMOS is a current source, you cannot damage it by adding more load current. It will just cause the output voltage to collapse. It will self limit the current.
